What area does Ride A WAV service?Ride A WAV proudly serves the NYC, Westchester and Nassau County communities. As long as your trip originates and/or ends in our service area we can accommodate.

Do i need to get out of my wheelchair at any point?No. Our professional drivers will help you on and off the vehicle and tie down the wheelchair with our securement systems.

How much notice do you need for reservations?Although same day transportation is available, we recommend scheduling one day in advance to guarantee transportation at your desired pick-up time.

How do i set up my return ride?We know it can be difficult to predict when you will be ready to go home. You can either set up a time in advance or we can pick you up within 30-45 minutes of the time you call.

What happen if my ride arrive and i am not ready?After 15 minutes, we charge $70 per hour for wait time.

What type of vehicles do you have?Our fleet consists of wheelchair accessible minivans and Ford Transit vans.

What if i need to cancel my trip?You can cancel your trip at any time for a full refund unless the driver is on their way to pick you up or you cancel at the door. In that case a no show fee will be charged.

Can you transport extra large power chair?Yes. Please let our team know if you have an extra large wheelchair so we can ensure we send you the appropriate vehicle.

Can you accommodate multiples wheelchair?Yes. Our Transit vans can accommodate 2 wheelchair passengers.

Can Ride a WAV carry me up and down the step?No.

Can i travel with a family member or care giver?Absolutely! Our vehicles can accommodate 2-3 additional passengers.
